As the chief information officer of MWH Global, Claire Rutkowski is responsible for delivering Information Technology (IT) support to MWH. For her, that means being a strategic thinker who can envision strategy and execute through laser-focused implementations. She is equally committed to delivering excellent customer service, helping employees around the world leverage technology to improve the way they work, and supporting collaboration among a global team. Global collaboration enables MWH to best achieve its mission of Building a Better World by bringing the talent together–regardless of location–to solve the complex problems facing our clients.

Ms. Rutkowski joined MWH in 1998 as the manager of applications training and IT projects delivery. She then moved into a senior project manager role, managing high-risk, global projects such as enterprise-wide software rollouts and upgrades and project management toolset implementations. Thereafter, Rutkowski served in regional and global leadership positions. There, she focused on building lasting relationships with business partners by developing a deep understanding of their business needs and delivering the right projects and services at the right time.

Because of Ms. Rutkowski’s success, she has been a featured speaker at Oracle, Gartner, Project Management Institute (PMI), and Colorado Technology Association’s Women in Technology Conference. In addition, she has written several articles for PMI publications.

Ms. Rutkowski holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University. She has received her certification for IT Project Manager and Project Management Professional.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading mysteries, hiking and antiquing. She lives in Chicago, Illinois with her husband, Todd, two children and dogs.
