100 Years of Experience

The foundation of our energy and sustainable wet infrastructure expertise stems from more than a century of experience with planning, design, programme and construction management, and design and development of conventional and pumped storage hydropower facilities. By tapping into the tremendous renewable energy potential of the world’s waters, MWH has helped power over 25 million homes through new facilities, as well as applying the most current techniques for project rehabilitation, retrofit and upgrade. In 2001 we assisted USAID to study the role and the value of hydropower in the, then to be the new, market of South East Europe and today, we continue to identify opportunities for hydropower sites, most recently in Uganda, Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Cape Verde.
