Water & Sanitation

Integrated, sustainable solutions for water, wastewater and wet infrastructure

Our reputation for technical excellence and expertise is built on almost 200 years of experience in the water supply and sanitation services, providing innovative and cost-effective solutions to address the needs of developing countries in different urban conditions. Our water expertise ranges from managing resource needs of growing populations, to pipeline design and the rehabilitation of aging pipelines and water supply and sanitation infrastructure, to the implementation of advanced technologies to address the most complex water resource management, wastewater and storm water management issues.

We provide a full range of integrated water and wastewater engineering and construction services; from the planning phase, through to start-up of water and wastewater treatment facilities, as well as facility and infrastructure upgrades. With a deep understanding of the regulations driving the water and wastewater markets worldwide, we are able to provide the right technical solutions to meet projects’ goals and clients’ expectation and to provide solutions to maintain, store and increase water supply in challenging and remote areas where our resources are continuously stretched, including world-class expertise in dam and WWT plant design and rehabilitation.

Global experience

Our projects cover all aspects of the water and sanitation sector, from the development of the ‘Integrated and Comprehensive Sanitation Master Plan’ for the three main islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue in Seychelles to the technical assistance of ‘Lake Victoria Water and Sanitation’ project in Tanzania where we act as Lenders’ supervisor on behalf of the client, the European Investment Bank. Moreover, two of our most representative projects in the water and sanitation sector are located in Ivory Coast and in the archipelago of Seychelles. The Millennium Hydraulic Programme (PHAM) aims to contribute to the reduction of poverty and an improvement in the health services to the populations within the programme’s reach in west Ivory Coast by providing access to better basic water and wastewater service while improving the population’s access to drinking water and ensuring the efficiency of maintenance and management of the infrastructure. The Resource Efficiency Programme (REP) for the Seychelles Water Sector, part of the wider water and sanitation programme “Project Neptune”, aims at alleviating water shortages in Seychelles through renewal and expansion of water supply on the three main islands, through the development of energy efficiency programs, water demand management and drought risk mitigation programs. This will reduce water loss, improve energy efficiency, and improve environmental and natural disaster risk management.
