MWH announced the acquisition of the Dutch environmental services company Syncera. This represents a significant milestone in MWH’s European growth strategy and gives the company a strong foothold in the important Dutch market.
Syncera is a medium-sized Dutch company with about 250 employees. It was established in 1983 and has offices in Delft, Arnhem and Amsterdam. Its core business is environment & water consultancy and environmental engineering.
The Syncera company philosophy and that of MWH are similar in many ways. Both companies are owned by their own personnel and both are working on improving the quality of the environment they live in, and provide leading products and services.
Under a contract signed on Friday, November 23rd, MWH owns all Syncera shares and Syncera shareholders will be able to become shareholders of MWH.
The name Syncera will change to MWH b.v. in spring 2008 when the Dutch business will celebrate a new era as part of MWH’s global network with a festival week looking back at its 25 years in business.
