Objectives of the project:
The overall objective is to increase the resilience of ACP regions and countries, to climate change and achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goa ls in particular its Goal 13 “Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts” in order to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development.
The specific objective (outcome) is better regional and national adaptation and mitigation responses to climate change challenges faced by ACP countries at operational, institutional and financial levels .
Qualifications and skills
- A University degree, preferably at masters level, in communication, knowledge management or equivalent;
- Excellent d rafting skills in English are essential; excellent drafting ski l ls in French would be a distinct advantage
- Excellent text and image editing skills
- Good website designing skills
- Excellent knowledge and use of social networks and other modern communication tools
General professional experience
- At least 5 years of work experience in Communication and Knowledge Management,
Specific professional experience
- At least 2 years of experience in communication and visibility in development cooperation programmes (project communication and visibility plans);
- Experience in management of media relations (written, audio-visual, online services);
- Experience in improving the learning capabilities of an organisation/community of practitioners, g. by stimulating networks and communities of practice;
- Work experience in ACP countries would be an advantage
Other preferred requirements: Experience organizing events and conferences; experience establishing networks and communities of practice
