MWH Infrastructure Development Inc.
MWH Infrastructure Development Inc. (IDI) works as an infrastructure project developer, at-risk, to bring private institutional funding together with a Design-Build (D/B) or other project delivery method to develop, finance, and execute the projects of state, municipal and utility sponsors.
Communities around the United States are considering public-private partnerships, often called P3s or PPPs, as an alternative means to deliver infrastructure services. In many cases, private financing of infrastructure assets can be a viable option for local and regional projects that might otherwise face challenges or delays using traditional public financing approaches. In addition, public sponsors that use a private finance approach reduce or eliminate impacts on their bonding capacity.
Private project finance includes, from the project start, consideration of the project life-cycle and due diligence to ensure the size, cost, and risk management plans make sense for the community. The result is an opportunity for value-creation through a project finance structure that aligns the interests of private institutional investors –pension funds, insurance companies, and endowments – and public-sector project sponsors to achieve more efficient delivery of high-quality infrastructure services.
