Brendan Nelson
Regional Lead, Financial Commercial and Risk Services, Asia Pacific Region
Brendan Nelson leads the financial, commercial and risk service line in the Asia Pacific region. He brings 20 years of consulting experience in the public and private sectors. Brendan joined MWH from the Queensland Reconstruction Authority, where he was the General Manager for Land Use Planning. He specializes in risk and resilience planning, land use planning, regional planning, master planning, strategic planning, development assessment and ePlanning.
Brendan is motivated by shaping strategic thinking in urban planning practice and has a proven ability to undertake complex planning projects with a focus on achieving and devising practical solutions. He is a thought leader and strategist in the field of disaster resilience through land use planning and has a proven background in influencing strategic land use planning outcomes.
Brendan holds a graduate diploma in urban and regional planning (with distinction) from the Queensland University of Technology and a bachelor’s of environmental science from Griffith University.
