Dr. Jim Finley
Principal Geochemist, Americas Region
Dr. Finley is based in MWH’s Fort Collins, Colorado office. He has over 20 years of experience in geochemistry and hydrology. He has worked as an regulator, a university professor and as an environmental consultant to the mining industry. Dr. Finley has expertise in the following technical areas: aqueous geochemistry, geochemical modeling, isotope geochemistry and hydrology, trace metal chemistry, watershed hydrology and dynamic systems modeling. He has also provided technical services as an expert witness in regard to the effects of hydrology and geochemistry at mine sites on surface and ground water chemistry. Since joining MWH in 2014, Dr. Finley has enjoyed expanding his range of projects to include work in New Zealand and South America.
