Nick Pansic
Navigation Practice Leader and Vice President
Nick Pansic specializes in infrastructure design and rehabilitation, dams and reservoirs, waterfront development and inland navigation. With 37 years of experience, he has contributed to the planning, design and construction of major wet infrastructure projects on five continents.
Since 1999, he has been an active participant in studies supporting the expansion of the Panama Canal, including: studies of new channel alignments for the third set of locks; engineering and environmental support to the 2005 Canal Master Plan; and his current role as Deputy Design Engineer for the $3.5 billion Third Set of Locks design-build project.
He is a Diplomate in Navigation Engineering of the Academy of Coastal, Ocean, Port, and Navigation Engineers (ACOPNE). In August 2013, Mr. Pansic was appointed to a four-year term as a Commissioner of the US Section of PIANC.
Nick studied at the University of Illinois where he received his BS and MS in Civil Engineering.
