Brussels, Belgium - MWH Global was awarded the contract for providing technical and financial assistance to assess, evaluate and ensure the quality of current and future projects funded by the European Union (EU) in the transport, water and sanitation and energy sectors of Madagascar.
The project aims to ensure that the programmes in the Malagasy infrastructure sector are prepared and implemented efficiently and in compliance with procedures of European Development Fund (EDF) and the contractual terms of the markets. The contract encompasses a number of assignments to be implemented through the provision of support to the EU Delegation in Madagascar, including the assessment of projects and programmes, financial audits of contracts, estimates and grants, technical audits of works contracts, quality control of technical studies and tender procedures, monitoring of 10th EDF projects and programmes, as well as the preliminary studies requirements (sectoral or institutional) for the identification of new infrastructure projects to be financed from the 11th EDF.
