West Sussex, United Kingdom, 5 August, 2014 - Southern Water has appointed MWH as its new Strategic Solutions Partner to help develop improved water and wastewater services for its customers.

MWH will work collaboratively with Southern Water to deliver the company’s ambitious £3.1 billion Business Plan for 2015 to 2020. The plan sets out 26 promises to deliver a better service to customers while keeping bills below inflation.

MWH will help plan and design new infrastructure and solutions for Southern Water, which provides water and wastewater services to more than 4.5 million customers across Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

The team will provide services including design, engineering, planning and environmental management. It will also work with Southern Water to develop and implement research and innovation.

The contract begins this month and will run to the end of March 2020. It is the first of three sets of work which Southern Water will award this year.
