Congratulations to members of our management consulting team in Brisbane who have been recognized for their risk and resilience services at the recent Planning Institute of Australia 
Queensland Awards for Planning Excellence. The team, together with clients Balonne Shire Council, won the Award for Planning Excellence in the Hard Won Victory category.
Our team has proudly worked with Balonne Shire Council over a number of years to support the delivery of a suite of resilience measures improving the safety of communities subject to flood risk. The range of services our team delivered included community engagement, funding application preparation, planning scheme amendments, flood mapping, resilience planning and land use policy development. In recognizing the project, the judges were impressed with the level of community support for the program which has already delivered tangible results for the community, including insurance premium reductions.
As Queensland winners, the team will now go on to compete at the National Awards in May next year.
