The Nevada Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) has awarded Jarah Parke, P.E., PMP, CFM the distinguished “Outstanding Member of the Year Award” for 2016. Mr. Parke is a project manager for MWH, now part of Stantec, and has been with the company for over 14 years. He specializes in water resources infrastructure design and project management.
Last year, Mr. Parke spearheaded the Southern Nevada Branch APWA Spring Conference (2016) as the conference chairman where he led a team of over 20 co-conference chair members with the planning, organizing, and implementation of the event. The 2016 spring conference was one of the most successful events to date that the chapter has hosted, with over 300 attendees and 50 vendors.
Mr. Parke has also held various assignments within the APWA organization, including the Young Professionals Board Representative as well as participating as co-chairman for numerous past conferences and events. Mr. Parke has been an active APWA member for the past 7 years.
