MWH has had two nominations shortlisted for the Future Water Association’s People Awards. The first nomination recognizes the talent, commitment and dedication of our employees in supporting our armed forces community via our Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. The second recognizes our Welland waste to energy project team and the environmental impact arising from their collaboration with the Welland Canal and Rivers Trust and the Environment Agency.
Representatives of some 200 businesses from across the water sector will gather for the 9th Annual Awards Lunch on 25 February at the Alveston Manor in Stratford-upon-Avon, U.K. to celebrate the achievements of Future Water Association Members. The keynote speaker at the Awards Lunch will be Richard Laikin, Water Sector Leader at PwC, who will share his views on Water 2020, retail market competition and the blue sky thinking needed now to prepare for AMP 7 and beyond.
Presentations will be made to the winners of the Health & Safety, People, Best Innovation and Best Presentation categories as well as to the victors of the Water Dragons Final.
The awards recognise the finest examples of services to the water industry. The judges’ selections represent inspirational examples of how excellence in innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, training and development, and leadership are truly making a difference.
Paul Gledhill, managing director for MWH is delighted that MWH have two award nominations shortlisted. “At MWH our people are our greatest assets and through the efforts of our Armed Forces Steering Group and Welland project team we have once again demonstrated delivery against our core values of achieving excellence and being involved citizens in the communities we serve. For both teams the recognition is well deserved and in my mind they are both winners.”
