British Water is delighted to announce the second major conference for BIM (Business Information Modelling) in the water sector, in partnership with MWH Treatment. Last year’s inaugural conference brought together some of the best companies and their representatives across different sectors to share best practice and help shape the future of the water sector. It was recognised that significant additional benefits could be realised in the water sector by applying BIM to the whole life of an asset.
This year’s conference builds on those foundations and explores ALIM (Asset Lifecycle Information Management) by looking at the benefits and its implementation. The conference will also explore how the water sector is using BIM and what still needs to be done and ask if and how BIM and ALIM can support TOTEX (Total Expenditure).
The conference takes place on Tuesday 14th April 2015 at The 1874 Suite, Aston Villa Football Club, Birmingham, B6 6HE, UK. The conference programme is filled with presentations from industry leaders from different sectors all sharing their knowledge to help embed BIM, further explore ALIM and create a truly collaborative approach to support TOTEX. Confirmed guest speakers include:
Chairman: Andrew Cowell, Engineering Director MWH Treatment; Greg Bentley, Chief Executive, Bentley Systems; Ian Bush, BIM4Water Steering Group and Director, BIM at Black and Veatch; Eddie Launhardt, Integrated Operations and Maintenance Business Specialist, Scottish Power Generation Business; Bob Stear, Head of Research and Development, Severn Trent Water; Dr Anne Kemp, Atkins Fellow and Director BIM Strategy and Development.
The full conference programme and booking forms can be found here on the British Water website.
