MWH is a proud sponsor the Australian Green Infrastructure Council 2011 National Conference, themed “Our Brave New World: Where Metrics Drive Sustainability”. The conference will be held on October 7 2011 at the Intercontinental Melbourne – the Rialto.
In 2010, MWH was named a Foundation Member of the Australian Green Infrastructure Council (AGIC), which is advancing sustainability outcomes in infrastructure and establishing a sustainability rating scheme for infrastructure projects throughout Australia. This scheme will be similar to the Green Building Council of Australia’s rating scheme for buildings, applying the principles of sustainability to infrastructure projects.
Foundation Membership acknowledges organizations that have made significant contributions to the establishment of AGIC and the development of its rating scheme. As a Foundation Member, MWH continues to be an active partner with AGIC in developing the ratings scheme.
The list of AGIC Foundation Members includes Australian law firm Clayton Utz, the Queensland Government, and the New South Wales Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water, among others.
