How did you become part of the MWH team?
I became part of the MWH team with the acquisition of Biwater back in December 2010.

What is your role at MWH and how long have you worked here?
I work as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the Heywood office and have held this position for the last five years initially for Biwater and then MWHT. For the first four years I worked on the waste water projects that the company completed for Northern Ireland Water.
Latterly, after a short interlude working on Severn Trent Water and Cambridge Water contracts, I have moved into the newly formed Waste to Energy division of MWHT.

What inspired you to take the photo selected for the calendar? What inspired you to participate in the MWH photo contest?
The photo captured the spirit of what the gardens of Ischia set out to achieve, which was to turn a scorched landscape in to one of beauty. The gardens to my mind make the world a better place, which in part is what we as a company are also attempting to do. I entered the photo for this reason.

If you could go anywhere in the world to take photos where would you go? Why?
No one place or country stands out for me, each and every one has its merits and attractions, but if I had to choose then it would have to be the Canadian Rockies. I toured there several years ago and was captivated by the landscape.

What do the photos you take say about you as a person?
As the vast majority of my photos are taken on holiday I suppose they tell me that I simply enjoy seeing different places and embracing new cultures in the company of my family recording the memories for posterity.

What does the MWH purpose of Building a Better World mean to you?
The world is our ultimate legacy for the generations that follow, making it a better place should be our unequivocal duty.
