Matteo Rudello - Milan, Italy
The “Pirogue” is a traditional fishing boat in Mauritius. MWH is proud to support the sustainable environment and improve the community of Mauritius toward Building a Better World.
How did you become part of the MWH team?
It was the 2002 and I read an article about MWH laboratories technical capabilities, I was impressed. At that time I had just finished my MSc dissertation on environmental analytical chemistry. A year later I discovered from the newspaper that MWH was hiring in Milan, I submitted my resume and here I am.
What is your role at MWH and how long have you worked here?
I’m project manager for soil and groundwater remediation services delivered primarily for large multinational clients
What inspired you to take the photo selected for the calendar? What inspired you to participate in the MWH photo contest?
The moment was perfect, color of the sky, the sea and the sail of the tiny Mauritian pirogue had all the same nuance creating a “paint” effect.
Sharing impressions and images taken from employees’ life make the MWH community more real.
If you could go anywhere in the world to take photos where would you go? Why?
Anywhere, It is not the place that creates magic but the creativity of the observer
What do the photos you take say about you as a person?
If the photo is the right one, it should tell that I‘m an environmentalist, deep observer, researcher of anything that makes life a magic experience
What does the MWH purpose of Building a Better World mean to you?
It means making this World more sustainable. Everything that is balanced and blissful lasts for long, anything else heads for destruction.
