Charlie Price has joined MWH as Chief Geotechnical Engineer in AP DESIGN, MWH’s Asia Pacific design team. Charlie will be based in Christchurch, New Zealand and is responsible for ensuring high quality design outcomes in MWH’s geotechnical work across New Zealand, Australia, Asia and India.
Charlie was most recently Principal Geotechnical Engineer at URS New Zealand Ltd and has had particular recent involvement in the Christchurch earthquake recovery efforts including a role as liaison engineer between the Port Hills Geotechnical Group and EQC.
He is a Geotechnical Specialist Advisor to the NZ Transport Agency, a current member of the committee of the New Zealand Geotechnical Society, and a past member of the executive committee of the British Geotechnical Society. Charlie has a total of 37 years experience working internationally on the investigation, design, supervision and contract management of major projects in the hydro, water supply, mining and petroleum industries.
