Hector Serrano, a senior electrical engineer in our Sunrise, FL office won 1st place in the Mouser 500 Challenge!
The Mouser 500 Engineering Challenge is an online competition taking place throughout the summer. The participants are asked to develop an innovative solution to one of three challenges presented, describe it in detail and submit their solution for consideration. The top ten are reviewed by the Mouser/KV Racing Technology Team and from there one winner is chosen.
Hector won the first of the three challenges presented this summer, designing an Automated Damper Vacuum Machine used to test racing shocks for the Mouser/KV Racing Technology Team. Hector’s winning design met all of the specifications and customer needs with minimal equipment.
Hector dedicated his weekends to this project for over a month. His hard-work won him an Apple iPad 3. When asked if he enjoyed the competition Serrano replied, “Absolutely, it was quite a learning experience!”
