MWH Global announced today new leadership for its oil and gas sector. Dave Ellerbroek has been tapped to lead global upstream oil and gas sector operations, and Fred Rappold will lead downstream oil and gas sector operations in North America. Together, these industry veterans will help deliver and expand MWH service offerings to new and existing oil and gas clients around the world.

Dave Ellerbroek, PhD, vice president and global upstream oil and gas sector leader – Ellerbroek, most recently client service manager, will lead service offerings to the upstream oil and gas sector with a focus on the exploration and production of unconventional oil and gas markets, including shale gas, coal-bed methane and unconventional oil resources. He will focus on key geographies including the U.S., Canada, Argentina, Poland and Australia. Ellerbroek has been with MWH for more than 15 years, including serving as hydrogeologist and location manager for the MWH office in Steamboat Springs, Colo. He has a bachelor’s degree in geophysics from the University of Colorado, a master’s degree in environmental science from Colorado School of Mines and a doctorate in environmental engineering from Colorado State University.
Ellerbroek is based in Denver.
Fred Rappold, vice president and downstream oil and gas sector leader in North America – Rappold will help grow and expand service offerings to the downstream oil and gas market, which includes the refining of crude oil and selling and distribution of natural gas. In this area, MWH provides services such as remediation and regulatory compliance. Rappold has been with MWH for more than a decade, most recently serving as client service manager in Philadelphia. He has nearly 30 years of experience providing engineering solutions to the oil and gas industry throughout the U.S. and Canada. Rappold has a bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania.
