Corporate Covenant MWHMWH is now one of a group of companies, which includes Tesco, Amazon, Airbus, Kier, Laing O’Rourke and Anglian Water Services, that has signed the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant.

The covenant was signed by Blair Lavoie, president of MWH Constructors, on 30 April 2015. By signing the covenant, MWH is showing that it recognises the contributions that military personnel, reservists, veterans and their families bring to the world’s security and the value that these people can bring to our business. The aim of the covenant is to ensure that the armed forces community can engage with businesses and develop relationships.

MWH recognises and supports the covenant fully and agrees to take on responsibility as a business to demonstrate its commitment in the following areas:

  • To promote the fact that we are an armed forces-friendly organisation;
  • To support the employment of veterans young and old;
  • To strive to support the employment of service personnel’s spouses and partners;
  • To endeavour to offer a degree of flexibility in granting leave for service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment;
  • To support our employees who choose to be members of the armed forces by accommodating their training and deployment where possible;
  • To offer support to our local cadet units, either in our local community or in local schools, wherever possible;

MWH Treatment Managing Director Paul Gledhill expressed his commitment to the covenant: “MWH is proud to sign the Corporate Covenant and join the growing list of leading companies who have already done so. The importance of our Armed Forces and the sacrifices made by personnel and their families is immeasurable. Each and every one of us owe them a huge debt and this is a way that we can demonstrate our support.”
