Celia-Schofield-HeadshotEducation: Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Chemical and Materials

Job Overview: I am a process Engineer within AP Design. I work with other process, electrical, mechanical and civil engineers on water and wastewater projects. The projects are throughout New Zealand and Australia and range from feasibility studies to detailed design.

How I ended up at MWH: I was looking for a summer internship in Auckland in 2011, I found MWH on the internet and sent an email to HR asking if MWH had any openings for an intern over summer. I was lucky that they had space and took me on.

What is on my desk right now: A Water Treatment Plant UV upgrade, a Drought Management Plan and two stormwater design projects.

Free time activities: In the mornings and evenings I am training my horse for dressage or training myself for a half marathon. Once a week I play squash with the team from MWH, we play in an intercompany competition near work. I also enjoy sewing and making dresses.Celia-Schofield-Horse

Best career advice I’ve ever received: Work hard, learn everything you can from anyone who is willing to teach you and take all opportunities you have.

Experiences at MWH: At MWH the integrated global workforce is a strong tool. The company culture of knowledge sharing helps us win and successfully deliver projects. When I need to find information or knowledge for a project the first place I look is within the company. I can ask any of my MWH colleagues for information and receive it quickly, if they don’t have it I am passed on to someone else who might know the answer.
