Jeannie_EdwardsBroomfield, Colo., Feb. 4, 2013 – Jeannie Edwards, director of Human Resources, Europe-Africa has been named a Worldwide Who’s Who Executive of the Year in Human Resources. Inclusion in Worldwide Who’s Who is an honor and only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction.

Commenting on this accolade, MWH managing director, Garry Sanderson said; “I am delighted that Jeannie’s industry leading strategies to develop Human Resources in engineering as well as her dedication and passion has been recognized in this way. This honor is well deserved and MWH is extremely proud of her fantastic achievement.”

Jeannie added; “I am very pleased to receive this recognition, because it is also a tribute to the people who surround and support me. I have had extraordinary mentors throughout my working life who told me the truth, a husband who believes in me, and a team that works with me, laughs with me, cries with me and is not afraid to tell me when I am getting it wrong. This honor demonstrates that success is the sum total of many moving parts working to make things better.

Selection of Who’s Who honorees is based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have accrued in association with their Worldwide Who’s Who membership. Jeannie has amassed more than 30 years of professional experience over the course of an illustrious career, building on an ever-emergent skill set over the years. She currently specializes in employment law, and in working with different issues on both sides of the fence. Her role includes overseeing employees in her region, working with the culture and diversity sector to ensure that all compliance and governance is met to the highest standards, and liaison with her peers. She also sets up strategies and trends, and ensures that the workplace environment is the best place to produce effective employees.

Jeannie received a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from Thames Valley University, where she also earned a Master’s Degree in Employment Law. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development, a member of the Institute of Safety and Health, and a board director of the Association of Consultants and Engineers. In addition, she is a recipient of the prestigious Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Contributions to ACE and the UK Consultancy and Engineering Industry.
