MWH employees around the U.S. have joined forces in support of the Adopt-A-Platoon program.
At corporate offices in Broomfield, employees raised $800 in donations that will allow MWH, now part of Stantec, to send out at least three sets of eight boxes of desired food and hygiene items to the company’s adopted platoon. A series of ‘Summer Fun’ themed events drew eager participants who enjoyed root-beer floats, breakfast burritos, and a Jeans Day. But it was the emphasis on doing a good deed for our men and women in uniform that was the real driving force.
The MWH office in Las Vegas sent out their first care package in early July and intends to send a care package each month of necessities that the platoon has requested. Other MWH offices will begin participating throughout the rest of the year.
Located in Kuwait, the adopted platoon includes 20 service members. The parcels from Broomfield are expected to reach the platoon in the next week.
