Broomfield, Colorado – The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded PA Government Services, a management, systems and technology consulting firm, and MWH a five year contract to support its $2 billion Integrated Water and Coastal Resources Management program. This program provides a broad range of consulting services to promote conservation and sustainable use of water and coastal resources globally. Specific scope items include data collection and management, data assessment and analyses, strategic planning and design, capacity building and institutional strengthening, public policy analyses and legal support.
USAID is an independent federal government agency whose mission is to “create a more secure, democratic and prosperous world for the benefit of the American people and the international community.” It is a principal federal agency for funding projects that provide development assistance that aligns with U.S. diplomatic and humanitarian objectives. Over the last several years, MWH has completed $90 million of USAID-funded projects. A majority of these projects have been related to water resource development and water treatment in the Middle East.
