MWH announced today that it has been selected by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District to provide engineering and construction services to the U.S. Air Force.

MWH is one of several companies selected to provide services under a Front Range Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). The Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract has a base period of two years with one option period of an additional three years. The combined maximum capacity of contracts awarded is $345 million. The contract will be implemented through competitively bid task orders that provide the best value to the government for Air Force sites that are located in Colorado and Wyoming.

“This is a very important contract award for MWH,” said Joe Adams, President of MWH’s construction unit. “Growing our construction business with the U.S. federal government and armed forces is a key strategic priority for MWH. We’re pleased to have been selected for this program and look forward to working with the USACE to meet the engineering and construction needs of Air Force bases along the Front Range.”

The IDIQ contract is one of USACE’s primary construction contracting vehicles for the Front Range program and is expected to yield task orders for projects at facilities in Colorado and Wyoming, including the Air Force Academy, Peterson Air Force Base (AFB), Buckley AFB, FE Warren AFB and Shriever AFB. The two initial projects, each valued at approximately $11 million, are for the construction of a space control facility and gate force protection structure at Peterson AFB.
