MWH has been selected as one of six capital delivery partners for Anglian Water’s AMP6 Integrated Main Works Capital (IMWC) Alliance which will develop and deliver solutions for its £1.3bn water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets programme.
To drive efficiency, IMWC contractors will commit to Anglian Water’s key customer outcomes and will work on a ‘total outperformance’ basis; recovering head office costs and earning profit only when they outperform Anglian Water’s business plan targets.
To maximise collaboration, efficiency and innovation through creating different ways of working, contracts will be for a period 15 years with a review after each five-year AMP period, one of the longest collaborations in the industry.
John Abraham, MWH Treatment Managing Director commented:
‘The @one Alliance has been an exciting place for MWH to be in over the past 8 years and I am now looking forward to bringing the wider capability of MWH into the new Alliance for AMP6 and beyond. Building on the collaborative culture, we will work together with our partners and the whole supply chain to ensure that we provide affordable and sustainable solutions for Anglian Water’s customers’
David Smith, MWH Strategy Director added: ‘I am delighted by the news of the appointment of MWH as a partner in the new Alliance. We will support Anglian Water to achieve value for money for its customers through applying our global expertise and cross sector reach in all aspects of Alliance formation, development and implementation.’
