Our clients, and theirs, are moving quickly into a world where information management and the use of information is now ‘business as usual’. Smart devices, smart platforms and also the ‘internet of things’ have enabled an ever increasing range of technology based innovations in the past decade.
Information management, in our clients world of infrastructure delivery and asset management, equates to two things;
- first, what information do we need to make decisions
- and secondly what do we do with this information once we get it.
An increasing amount of new technology and software emerge daily which help us both define and manage our projects and assets.
Over almost 200 years MWH has provided data to our clients as a project or asset information handover, however this has always been just a solution.
MWH Information Engineering team now evolves these solutions into outcomes by passing information to our clients which gives them greater knowledge and thus better decision making control.
This team support and manage the internal delivery of information across a wide range of sectors and disciplines but also provide clients with a range of services to either define or use information.
As with the associated fields within Information Engineering i.e. Data Capture, Data Science, Design Technologies, GIS & BIM, our team provide Advisory and Change Management services with respect to any combination of these. This arms our clients with the knowledge to leverage their supply chain to best effect in transforming both how they define and use information but also changing their own organisation in the process.
Globally we have crossed the threshold of the digital revolution which has been evolving rapidly since the turn of the millennium. The Information Engineering team support all sectors in response to client needs concerning data and information management from delivery to asset management.
