Environmental & Permitting Services
As environmental and regulatory requirements for the mining industry become increasingly more complex, we provide a full range of services that support mine permitting requirements, life-cycle needs, and sustainable development—for both the mine and its surrounding communities.
MWH, now part of Stantec, maintains excellent relationships with host country regulatory agencies enabling us to help our clients efficiently and successfully navigate through the planning and permitting of projects. We work with a variety of multilateral and private lending institutions. We develop cost effective, environmentally and socially sensitive strategies. We provide support to clients by assisting with annual reporting and auditing of mine sites for environmental compliance or due diligence purposes. As well as providing support for specific tasks, we are able to provide environmental officers and support staff on short- or long-term contracts.
Our reputation precedes us in preparing clear, concise, and defensible work products based on a thorough understanding of relevant regulations and mining practices, combined with technical expertise in all required scientific and engineering disciplines.
