American Municipal Power (AMP) has positioned themselves as a leader in clean energy production. With the support of local communities, they have added hydropower to four existing Army Corps of Engineers dams along the Ohio River that will provide more than 300 MW of clean reliable power.
There are other hydropower opportunities like these four projects in the United States. The Department of Energy has recognized more than 100 existing dams within the country that have the potential for hydropower and could add up to 12 GW of new energy.
