Mine Water Balance Modeling: A Tool for Managing Water at Mine Sites

Lima, Peru Water management is one of the most important challenges facing mining professionals around the world. MWH is offering a short course to help mining companies understand the issues important to analyzing risks, evaluating potential environmental impacts, and making informed water resource management decisions. Join our team of experts prior to the Mine Water Solutions in Extreme Environments conference in Lima, Peru. This course is designed to provide an overview of water balances as a tool to address concerns faced by mining companies. Course topics include:

  • Defining water balance objectives
  • Selecting water balance methodology and models
  • Collecting and evaluating water balance input data
  • Developing and calibrating the model
  • Generating data for reporting requirements
  • Using water balance for decision making
