From agriculture to industry to human consumption, the possible applications for water reuse are vast. Regulatory frameworks for water treatment guidelines help ensure the safe reuse of water in systems that consistently produce water purified for a specific use. Our experts actively influence the development of regulatory policy that shapes drinking water quality standards. We have extensive experience supporting the development of potable water standards and regulations throughout the U.S. As part of Stantec, we have further strengthened our corporate capabilities and staff resources in water treatment and water reuse. Collectively, we are one of the most highly experienced water treatment firms in the world.
As the Program Director for the San Diego Pure Water Program, Julie Labonte serves as a member of the Advisory Group on Feasibility of Developing Criteria for Direct Potable Reuse for the California Division of Drinking Water (DDW) Water and Energy Committee on behalf of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. The Advisory Group provides consultation to DDW on public health issues, as well as scientific and technical matters regarding the feasibility of developing uniform water treatment regulations for direct potable reuse.
